The Flying Dragon is very sea kindly and is a good sailer with a beautiful set of balanced lug rig working sails. Her 130 HP Perkins truly makes her a good motorsailer getting about 4 gallons of diesel an hour and steams along comfortably around 7 knots. Her unconventional hull seems to act as a hybrid between a displacement hull and a plaining hull. Her engine room is roomy and spacious allowing full and comfortable access to her engine and affording additional storage.
